me: started this blog to keep a photo journal while learning all about my new camera (Nikon D40 w/ 18-200mm lens). I live in New York City and never take photos here, so this is an opportunity to see the city in a new way after many many years of living here and speed walking through crowds of people. I’m finally getting over the “Yikes! I look like a tourist!” and I’m becoming more comfortable with a big zoom hanging around my neck. This all started because of an Alaska trip Jeff & I are planning this summer. Hopefully by then I will know this camera inside and out, and give my creativity a jolt it truly needs.
oh, and I’m a graphic designer by day, used to paint but haven’t in many years, sometimes knit, make candles or whatever crafty thing comes to mind. Love being with Jeff and eating croque monsieur at Le Gamin! And a good dose of Guitar Hero III is super fun!
